excellent products
I can state that Happy Beekeeping products are the best I have come across. It was Angela who introduced me to their Manuka & Ginger honey at Clevedon. As advised, I went online to order other varieties to include another ginger honey which I intended for my visiting overseas friend to try. At my request, Angela kindly delivered that honey to my friend's address not far away from hers. This is what I like: next, this friend was very happy too and ordered a few more for herself to bring home (overseas). Overall I am very happy to have stumbled across Happy Beekeeping products. Probably similar, if not exactly the same, to the way Isaac stumbled into his beekeeping world :) Thank you Isaac, thank you Angela. Please keep up the good works, not for New Zealand alone, but for the human race. Forever grateful, Ella
The Ritual, Ways to Enjoy
The Morning Reset: Stir a generous spoonful into warm (not boiling) water with a squeeze of fresh lemon to invigorate your senses and start the day with botanical vitality.
The Gourmet Garnish: Drizzle over thick Greek yoghurt, toasted walnuts, and fresh figs for a nutrient-dense breakfast or refined dessert.
The Culinary Glaze: Use as a natural sweetener for roasted carrots or salmon to add a sophisticated, spicy-sweet caramel finish.
The Wellness Brew: Elevate your Chai or herbal tea. The ginger’s warmth perfectly complements the creamy, butterscotch notes of our Manuka.
Frequently Asked Questions
What makes your Manuka Ginger Honey unique?
Our blend is crafted using high-potency, lab-certified New Zealand Manuka Honey and organic ginger root. Unlike mass-produced honey, ours is hand-harvested in small batches to preserve the delicate enzymes and bioactive properties of both superfoods.
How should I store my honey to maintain its quality?
To preserve the creamy texture and bioactive integrity, store your honey in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight (ideally below 20°C). There is no need to refrigerate it, as natural honey is self-preserving.
Is this honey raw and unpasteurized?
Yes. We believe in minimal intervention. Our honey is never creamed using high heat, ensuring that the natural enzymes and complex flavour profiles remain intact from hive to jar.
Why is the MGO level important?
MGO (Methylglyoxal) is the compound responsible for the unique purifying properties of Manuka honey. As a pharmacist-led brand, we independently test every batch to ensure the MGO levels meet our high standards for potency and purity.
Is it safe for children?
While our honey is a pure and natural superfood, it is a standard safety precaution in New Zealand and globally that honey should not be consumed by infants under 12 months of age.
